Angela’s Swim School began in 2002 by Angela Wilson. Angela is an ex-international and Commonwealth swimmer who, at 15 years old, was the British champion in both 400 and 800 metres freestyle.
Angela began teaching in between training for competitions, driven by her passion to give back to the community and to a sport that had given so much to her. She is passionate about teaching her students to swim in a confident and enjoyable manner, and is dedicated to ensuring they don’t just learn to swim, but to learn to swim with style!

Our unique teaching methods have evolved over generations, tried and tested both by Angela and her mother before her. Angela’s Swim School franchises aim to encourage a passion and love for swimming from as young an age as possible; a dedication that is shown by the fact that In 2012 Angela’s Swim School developed four students to take part in Olympic trials. This is the dedication we aim to instil in every one of our instructors.

Whether students want to take swimming seriously as a sport, or simply want learn to swim for fun, there’s a place for everyone in Angela’s Swim School programme. When coaching, we advocate teachers should give the feel of the water to their students in the pool, and to lead and teach by example. Angela Wilson has personally trained dozens of instructors to teach by her methods and her established Swim School franchises now teach thousands of students every week. Franchisees are provided with full training of these unique teaching methods and the administrative skills to run their own Swim School.

Our unique teaching methods have been developed not just to teach students to swim, but to truly develop and encourage a love for swimming as well as a passion for sports, and our Franchise has been developed with this in mind.
