APPG Report Launch Dec 2021

Government boost to female entrepreneurship is right way forward

Angela as a business owner and advocate for entrepreneurs, was delighted to add her voice to a recent government report that wants greater support for entrepreneurial women. The report, ‘The Future of Female Entrepreneurship: Pathways to Progress, Skills for Success’ comes from the Women and Enterprise All-Party Parliamentary Group, which Angela has been a member of for four years.

The report launched at an event held at the Houses of Parliament on 8 December 2021. It was introduced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, and sets out key recommendations for the Government to action.

In response, the Chancellor has promised urgent action to help boost the number of female entrepreneurs, a move that could add £250billion to the economy if women start and scale new businesses at the same rate as men.
