Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards

Angela Wilson, CEO of Angela’s Swim School was honoured to be invited to present the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards at St James’ Palace on 2 February this year. She was delighted to be in the Entrée Room at the Palace and gave a short inspirational speech to the award holders before the presentation on behalf of HRH The Earl of Wessex.

Angela told the Gold Award holders: “Congratulations on achieving your Gold Award”

This is an excellent start to the rest of your lives. You have shown real dedication, determination and personal strength. These are unique qualities that will stand you in good stead for your next achievement. Well done!” For her speech Angela drew on the challenges she had overcome during her life.
Some of the other gold award presenters on the day were Erin Boag, Anton Du Beke, Chris Hollins and Natasha Kaplinsky.
